Toyota TS-503-BK / TS-603-BK Cartridge to Spin-On Adapter
Installation Instructions:
Note: Read all instructions thoroughly prior to starting installation.
Step 1
Remove cartridge filter cap and filter.
Clean exposed surfaces.
Step 2
Remove or clear stock retaining
clip if present.
Step 3
Test fit - Using 1" deep socket, install adapter until fully seated.
Determine which port will be utilized for the Schrader valve.
Remove adapter.
Step 4
Apply sealant tape (not included) to hex plugs and install in unused ports using 3/16" hex wrench.
Caution: Apply to threads only, not over end of plug.
Step 5
Install body O-ring and lubricate with engine oil.
Step 6
Install adapter using 1" deep socket, torque to 40 ft.lbs.
Step 7
Install 90-degree fitting with sealant tape (if using) and Schrader valve.
Step 8
Install spin-on oil filter that contains ¾-16 threads, run engine and check for leaks.

Servicing Instructions
- Remove oil filler cap on engine.
- Remove Schrader valve cap on adapter.
- Using air chuck, apply 100 psi dry compressed air to Schrader valve for 4-5 seconds.
- Wait 30 seconds and apply 100 psi dry compressed air for another 3 seconds.
- Remove oil filter.
Note: If oil filter is mounted horizontally, there may be a small amount of residual oil spilling when removing oil filter.
