EVAC-S1/S2/S3 Installation Instructions
Note: Read all instructions thoroughly prior to starting installation.
Step 1
Step 1: Remove oil filter.
Step 2
Using a clean cloth, remove oil and dirt from oil filter contact surface.
Step 3
If using 90 degree fitting apply sealing tape. (not included)Step 4
Install 90-degree fitting and Schrader valve.
Step 5
Ensure that the EVAC-U-FILTER Viton gasket is fully seated and dry. Do not lubricate gasket.
Step 6
Install adapter and retaining nut. Using 1"deep socket, tighten to 5 ft.lbs. (snug) Do not over torque, the oil filter will provide sealing pressure. Use socket only, do not use adjustable or open end wrench.
Step 7
Lubricate oil filter gasket and and install oil filter.
Step 8
Start engine and check for leaks. Run engine to operating temperature and check for leaks again.
Serving Instructions
Prior to draining oil pan.
- Remove oil filler cap on engine.
- Remove Schrader valve cap on adapter.
- Using air chuck, apply 100 psi dry compressed air to Schrader valve for 4-5 seconds.
- Wait 30 seconds and apply 100 psi dry compressed air for another 3 seconds.
- Remove oil filter.
