Check Under the Hood
- Instead of a traditional alternator, an eTorque-equipped Jeep has a belt-driven motor-generator unit (MGU).
- On the 3.6L V6, the MGU is mounted near the front of the engine.
- An electric motor-powered vacuum pump assembly is mounted on top of the MGU.
Minor modifications may be needed on some vehicles to gain necessary clearances for installation and may require some mechanical aptitude.
